Some RC trucks like 4x4s and monster trucks can handle loose and tough terrain. These vehicles do not have stay on paved areas because they are designed for off-road running. If you have this kind of RC vehicles then you must run them on a specified environment so that you can see their full potential. Running a 4x4 monster truck on a parking area is not a good idea because it won't exercise the real capabilities of the truck.
